Six Flags Physics Day
Seniors in the IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academy at Southwest High School (IPAS) had a blast at the Six Flags Physics Day activities in May. Six Flags Over Texas provided a physics workbook that covered math and science topics including force, data collection and analysis, quadratics, laws of conservation of energy and momentum, rational and polynomial functions, measurement of qualitative and quantitative data and mathematical modeling. It was a fun and unique opportunity for the Academy students to take their knowledge of physics from the classroom to the amusement park. Thanks to the IPAA/PESA Energy Education Center for funding this event.
