Sophomores in the IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academy at Southwest High School (IPAS) toured The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) in April. The underclassmen enjoyed seeing how UTA’s Engineering Building stands out. Their building includes a study library with a 3D printer with research areas. The UTA students were able to see their passion for recycling and their Racing Formula SAE team. The UTA students shared their ideas on their next race car design. The college tour was also helpful for the high school students to see what college life looks like.
