Junior Achievement Educator of the Year

We are proud to announce that the IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academy at Southwest High School business teacher, Katricia Conner was named Junior Achievement’s Educator of the Year. This award is based on teacher support and their willingness to go above and beyond to make the programs work at their highest level. Mrs. Conner’s expectations of students uphold a very professional standard, and her students flourish from her dedication.

She has established wonderful relationships with all of the volunteers and is quick to recognize what we can do to modify the program to best fit the students. She has done a fantastic job incorporating Junior Achievement curriculum into her classroom to utilize every resource possible. She was presented with her award in late September. Congratulations Mrs. Conner!
