Sophomores College Visit to UTA

Sophomores in the IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academy at Southwest High School (IPAS) toured The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) in early April. The itinerary included an awe inspiring interactive physics activities and hearing Dr. Jones, assistant professor of Physics, speak. The link below explains some background information about Dr. Jones. The underclassmen enjoyed great learning experiences, on both academic and personal levels. Many students commented that one of their biggest takeaways from the event was seeing for themselves how a college campus functions, instead of just hearing about it, watching a video or looking at a college website.
